Spaghetti Bolognese

Who doesn’t love spaghetti? Besides being spaghetti what I love about this recipe is that there is no sweetener added.  Tomatoes are so sweet I have never understood why canned spaghetti sauce all has sugar added to it.

  • 8 oz package rice spaghetti
  • 2 t olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 c chopped yellow onion
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 – 14 oz cans tomato puree
  • 1 c chicken stock
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Heat a saucepan over high heat. Add oil, garlic and onion. Cook for 3 min or until just soft. Add ground beef and cook, stirring, until brown. Add tomato puree and beef stock; rapidly simmer for 10 – 15 min or until thickened. Stir in salt, and pepper. Serve over spaghetti.
