Why do I bother ever making applesauce when pear sauce is so much better? If you have a bunch of ripe pears sitting around try making some. It whips up in no time and is super sweet with no sweetener added.
- 8 ripe pears
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional. Leave out if in Stage 1 of Diet)
- Peal and core the pears.
- Place water in bottom of pot and add pears
- Heat pears on low for a couple hours with lid on at a tilt so there is a slight crack.
- Once the pears are good and soft run the entire mixture through the blender until nice and smooth. Store in airtight container in fridge for a week; otherwise, you can freeze or can any extra!
